Black Moss Press is teaming up with Fitzhenry and Whiteside to bring the poetry to your doorstep. On June 8th at 6:30 pm we will be at Ben McNally Books to launch three books: André Narbonne’s Twelve Miles to Midnight, Mary Ann Mulhern’s How We Fare, and Ingrid Ruthig’s This Being.
Mary Ann Mulhern is quickly gaining ground in the poetry world. Her first book of poetry The Red Dress received national attention from CBC’s Tapestry series
André Narbonne is new to the publishing scene, but he is quickly gaining notice. Nino Ricci has described Narbonne’s first short story collection, Twelve Miles to Midnight, as “achieving the breadth and depth of an epic.” Some of the stories in this book have won awards, including the David Adams Richards Prize in 2008.
This event will also see the launch of Ingrid Ruthig’s debut collection of poetry This Being. Ingrid has published poetry in many anothologies and journals across the country, including The Best Canadian Poetry in English, The Malahat Review, and Descant.
All three writers will be reading from their works and will be available to sign books following the event. We look forward to seeing you there. Admission is free.
