Resilience in the face of the pandemic – National Poetry Month 2021 in Windsor

A Dance of Self-Isolation

“Resilience is what this town knows best. Time after time we have been through life-changing moments in our history and we have always bounced back. That is our character and for the past year we have shown how — in spite of the challenges and setbacks — we are pushing back; we are lifting ourselves up; we are resilient as we always have been.” – Marty Gervais

Plans are well underway to mark National Poetry Month in Windsor with “Resilient Voices” that will feature short, six-line inspirational poems from area writers on interior advertisement spaces across the Transit Windsor’s buses and throughout select facilities beginning April 1, 2021.

Black Moss will also release A Dance of Self-Isolation, an anthology of work by local writers on the pandemic in Windsor, described by Windsor Mayor Drew Dilkens as a moving chronicle of the pandemic in Windsor.
