Join Black Moss Press and our editing teams Threshold Publishing and The 67’s as we present to you the can’t miss literary event of the year on April 6th, 7pm at the Caboto Club. The evening will centre on the hard work that both of these teams have done in bringing you the latest book from long time Black Moss author Bruce Meyer, and the debut work of Barry Brodie.
Barry Brodie is an accomplished writer, director, and actor. He teaches a course on the creative process at the University of Windsor, and is a principal of SHO Art, Spirit & Performance. In November 2015, his provocative one-man production Threshold of Magic – The Death and Life of Tom Thomson hit the Canadian stage. His latest book, Tom Thomson – On the Threshold of Magic, will include the complete play along with additional material offering insight into the creative journeys of both the playwright and this iconic Canadian painter.
Bruce Meyer, is the author of forty-six books of poetry, short fiction, non-fiction, and literary journalism. His work has been short-listed for numerous prizes and translated into five languages throughout the world. His latest book 1967: Centennial Year is a collection of poetry that commemorates Canada’s 150th anniversary through the eyes of a 10-year old Bruce Meyer. 1967 explores the events and experiences that both Canada and Bruce witnessed together to form what they are today.
There will be complimentary refreshments as well as a kid’s table to entertain the little ones. So bring the whole family down, relax and experience Canada’s 150th in style with Black Moss Press. You only turn 150 once!
