Bruce Meyer

Bruce Meyer is author of 64 books of poetry, short fiction, flash fiction, and literary non-fiction. He is well-known to Canadians as the voice behind CBC’s literature broadcasts on The Great Books, A Novel Idea, and Great Poetry: Poetry is Life and Vice Versa with Michael Enright. His most recent collections of poems include 1967: Centennial Year, The First Taste: New and Selected Poems (both from Black Moss Press), and McLuhan’s Canary (from Guernica Editions).

He was the inaugural Poet Laureate of the City of Barrie, and lives there with his wife, daughter, and dog. He teaches at Georgian College and Victoria College in the University of Toronto.
