Black Moss Press is kicking off the fall season with several events featuring a wide variety of writers.
Leading the way is Vanessa Shields launching her newest book of poetry Look At Her on September 22nd at the Studio Theatre Jackman Dramatic Arts Centre of the University of Windsor. Poet Vanessa Shields always dazzles audiences with her trademark performances, making her poetry jump off the page. But to make it even more spectacular, Vanessa will be joined by the Empire Jazz Trio. Click the link to the Facebook event page for even more information!
To follow this we’re going even bigger with a literary gathering that will span two days and two cities! On October 2nd we’ll be at Storytellers Book Store in Windsor at 5pm, featuring writers past published and present!
If you’re unable to hit up Vanessa’s launch on the 22nd then this is your chance to pick up a signed copy of Look At Her. And don’t forget to check out new books from old favourites such as Laurence Hutchman and John B. Lee. Or try something new from D.A. Lockhart and Don Lajoie as they launch their first books. Disappointed that you missed out on Mary Ann Mulhern and André Narbonne‘s launch back in the spring? They’ll be there too with their latest publications!
On October 3rd we’re taking things across the border to The Phoenix Park Cafe in Hazel Park at 7pm. That’s right Michigan, we’re coming your way! For just $5 admission fee you can see Vanessa Shields, Laurence Hutchman, John B. Lee, D.A. Lockhart and Marty Gervais. But that’s not all! We’ve invited some of our other Windsor poet friends Dorothy Mahoney and Ashley VanWyck. More local authors to be announced closer to the event date. Click the link and stay informed of all the most recently added writers.
With author lists this long, there’s sure to be something for everyone! So grab your totes and head on down to one of our events and get poetry with panache.
